Brides Magazine launched the contest this month, and an accompanying website asks the public to cast their vote on every detail for the event, from the cake to the bride's dress to the honeymoon.
They must also select their favorite loved-up couple. In the running are Porsia Thomas and Wade Curry from San Diego, Valentina Tran and Eric Vergati from Texas and, representing the east coast, Lynn Donini and Mike Flynn from Florida.

For the public to decide: Three couples are vying for the chance to win a $1million celebrity-style wedding courtesy of Brides Magazine in which they will have no say in
'Mike and I should win . . . because we deserve to have a spectacular wedding,' Ms Donini writes on the Brides Live Wedding website.
'What Mike brings to this relationship is something that many relationships these days are missing. Mike opens every door for me, washes my dishes, and cleans my apartment constantly.'
Meanwhile Ms Tran and Mr Vergati say they should be selected because they are by far the 'best couple.'

They continue on a more serious note: 'In all honesty, we have been through a lot this past year and winning would be an incredible way to start the next stage of our lives together.'
And Ms Thomas and Mr Curry promise voters that they will be very entertaining if they score their dream big day.
'Our loving yet silly nature will be nothing less than entertaining!' Ms Thomas says.
'The people in our bridal party are some of the funniest, craziest, smartest, and most attractive people you can imagine, and Wade and I are not so bad ourselves.'
Nail-biting stuff: Even the bride's manicure is up for the public to decide
Brides Magazine will donate $1 for every vote the winning couple receives to the charity of their choice.
Make A Wish Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Lupus Foundation of America are the three organizations that have been selected.
Voting will end on May 24 and the winning couple's wedding will be broadcast live from the St. Regis, Monarch Beach resort in Dana Point, California, on June 8 on Brides.com and BRIDES YouTube channel.
