On Sunday night's Dancing With Ice, during a prerecorded segment, contestant and actor Sam Attwater had a minor spat while practicing with real-life fiancee and ice dancing partner Vicky Ogden.

Show mentors and Olympic skate greats Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean - aka Torvill and Dean - pointed out that there was only one way to creating truly successful ice magic.

'Always leave it on the ice, never take it inside,' Christopher Dean said.

'We're also not married,' Jayne wisely pointed out to Christopher who then nodded sagely and knowingly in agreement.

Sam, also known as 'skating viagra, won the 2011 Dancing On Ice series.

He met and fell in love with professional skater Vicky on the Dancing On Ice tour. For their routine on Sunday night's Dancing On Ice they took to the rink performing the very apt Marry U from Bruno Mars. Some viewers have suggested the show be called Dating On Ice.

Dressed all in white, with Vicky wearing a skate-style wedding dress of sorts and Sam as a handsome groom, the pair showed real chemistry and intricate moves.

At the end of their performance the two brought on a flower boy and girl, plus a bouquet and veil and cutely kissed on the ice.

The judges liked their 'helicopter' and 'whirly bird' giving the duo a combined score of 30, landing them in second place at that point.

'It was a great performance,' Judge Karen said. 'It was entertaining and who said romance is dead.'

Ashley added: 'You guys look like you were enjoying yourselves out there. That's what it's all about.'

Jason said he was relieved Sam was in the competition, before pointing out, 'tonight it was a little bit ropey and those little stumbles really knocked your confidence.

'I felt a lot more relaxed than last time, but she makes me feel weak at the knees,' a gushy Sam told Phillip about the performance.

'I love Sam to bits and to skate with him is even more of a pleasure,' Vicky replied.

Incidentally the flowergirl from the Dancing On Ice performance will also be flowergirl at the pair's wedding later this year.

Sam and Vicky are not the only engaged couple on the show - football legend David Seaman who danced with his real-life partner Frankie Poultney is the other.

After the viewers' vote were tallied on Sunday night, Sam and Vicky remained safe after winning a spirited skate-off with a rousing rendition of Riverdance.

The couple are through to the next round of Dancing On Ice, which airs on Sunday night at 6:15pm on ITV.
