The year 2013 will soon be over, which means it's time to reflect on something important -- celebrity couples, of course!
It's rare for high-profile pairs to stay together for long periods of time, so when they do, their love seems to be worth celebrating. Here are the hottest celeb couples who have stuck by each other through this long, eventful year.
Beyonce and Jay Z: In July, Jay Z landed a deal with Samsung -- who bought 1 million copies of his Magna Carta Holy Grail album and allowed Samsung Galaxy owners to download it for free -- which instantly made him go platinum. He also co-headlined the 20/20 Experiencee tour with Justin Timberlake. As for Queen Bey, this was definitely her year! From singing at the inauguration, to performing at the Superbowl, touring, having deals with Pepsi and H&M and secretly releasing her self-entitled album Beyonce, 2013 was jam-packed with her projects.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West: In June, West released his sixth studio album, Black Yeezus, which became his sixth consecutive No. 1 record. And on Kardashian's birthday, Oct. 21, he proposed to the reality star. Prior to dating West, of course, Kardashian was married to Kris Humphries -- for 72 days. But in April, Kardashian's divorce was finalized. She gave birth to North West, her daughter with Kanye, just few weeks later.
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel: After years of acting, Timberlake burst back onto the music scene in January by releasing "Suit and Tie," featuring Jay Z. His album, The 20/20 Experience, was released in March and debuted at No. 1. He then went on tour with Jay, and in September, The 20/20 Experience: 2 of 2 was released (it also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts). Timberlake also appeared on Jay Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail and wrote/produced tracks for Beyonce's self-titled album. As for Biel, her film Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo: Aside from being named the Sexist Man Alive by People this year, The Voice judge also released his first fragrance and collaborated with Kmart and ShopYourWay.com to design apparel and accessories. He also proposed to his girlfriend, Prinsloo. Prinsloo recently worked the catwalk at this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, as she's been doing every year since 2007.
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon: Carey joined the judging panel on American Idol earlier this year, even though she later stated that she hated it (because of a fellow recording artist, perhaps?). She also appeared in Lee Daniels' The Butler and is currently working on her next album -- even saying that it might be her favorite album yet. In May, Cannon and his wife marked their fifth anniversary by renewing their vows at Disneyland. Cannon also released a new song called "Me Sexy" and admitted that he's now working on a second album.
Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield: Stone's movie Gangster Squad premiered in January. She is now working on her upcoming movies Magic In The Moonlight and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 alongside her boyfriend, Garfield. Garfield, meanwhile, advocated for same-sex marriage this year.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt: Jolie has been working on her next movie, Maleficent, which is set to premiere in 2014. She was named by Forbes as Hollywood's highest paid actress this year, a title she also received in 2009 and 2011. She showed her courage in May when she revealed she had a double mastectomy, fearing she would get breast cancer because she was high risk. Pitt's film World War Z premiered at No. 1 this year and also became his most successful film to date. He also produced and appeared in another successful movie, 12 Years A Slave.
Victoria and David Beckham: In February, the former member of the girl group Spice Girls was named one of the 100 most powerful woman in the U.K. by Woman's Hour, a British radio show. And after his very successful career as a soccer player (or shall we say football?), Beckham announced his retirement from the sport in May. But at least we can still see him in those hot H&M ads!
Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton: In January, Lambert announced that she would co-headline the 33-show Locked & Reloaded tour with country singer Dierks Bentley. She appeared on Project Runway as a guest judge the next month. Shelton set 2013 off right by premiering his single "Sure Be Cool If You Did" at 12:02 am on New Year's Day. In March, The Voice judge released the album Based On A True Story, which topped the country charts at No. 1 and the all-genre chart at No. 3. And in late May, Shelton and NBC planned the Healing of the Heartland: Relief Benefit Concert, which helped to raise money for the the victims of tornadoes that hit the Midwest.
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux: Aniston's latest film, We Are The Millers, was released in August. She became the spokeswoman for Aveeno skincare products and was named the Entertainment Industry Foundation ambassador for the Saks Fifth Avenue Key To The Cure campaign, which raises awareness and funds for cancer research and treatment. As for Theroux, he will be the lead in HBO's new drama, The Leftovers.
