While his successor Blake Garvey is embroiled in the controversy surrounding a failed relationship with Sam Frost, Tim Robards is living the high lie.

Australia's original Bachelor has been documenting his getaway to Victoria with the show's first winner, Anna Heinrich, on Instagram - and on Sunday shared some relationship advice with his followers.

'You get back what you give out,' he wrote alongside a jubilant collage of the loved up couple, 'today I'm happy to receive a little TLC after a few busy weeks helping others!'

One shot sees Anna erupting with laughter alongside her smirking beau as they share a spa together, while the beautiful blonde smiles happily in other picture as she rests in the spa's bubbling waters.

Tim has his Hulk-like physique on display in the final snap, grinning merrily as he pours himself a spot of tea.

'What a day. Completely relaxed now,' Anna posted from her own Instagram account alongside a happysna p of the pair in robes.

They took flight to Victoria on Saturday and toasted over cocktails soon after landing, with the hunky chiropractor writing enthusiastically writing 'now a little espresso martini to get us going!'

Blake, the star of The Bachelor Australia's second show, recently caused quite a stir as it was announced, a day after the show's Thursday finale, that he had already broken up with winning bachelorette Sam Frost.

He broke his silence on the matter for the first time on Saturday night, telling Perth Confidential 'I have so much love, care and respect for her but unfortunately the relationship hasn't worked.'

For her part, Sam took to social media on Friday to share her view, Tweeting: 'People need to stop asking why we broke up. Trust me, I'm just as in the dark as you all are.

'Blake is the one calling all the shots here.'

Interviews with the two, conducted by Carrie Bickmore, will air on Ten's The Project on Monday night.
