If you're like me, your head is still spinning from the speed at which Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden got engaged, let alone married to each other. We hadn't even really gotten our head around them as a couple yet, and all of a sudden they're husband and wife? Slow it down, buddies!
But for as blindsided as we were by their whirlwind romance, Benji and Cam are hardly the first two celebrities to have a quick courtship. In fact, with seven months between the time they started dating and got married, they're right in the middle of the bell curve of this list.

Time before proposal: seven months
Time before wedding: seven months
Current status: married since January 2015
Nothing like getting married within weeks of getting engaged, but congratulations on these two for holding strong after less than twenty-four hours of marriage!
2. Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger

Time before proposal: one month
Time before wedding: one year
Current status: married since July 2013
These two dummies started dating on July 1st, 2012, and Chad proposed on August 8th of the same year. In case you're not so hot at math, that's just over one month of dating, and they got married a year to the day after their first date.
3. Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford

Time before proposal: six months
Time before wedding: fourteen months
Current status: married since April 2012.
This case is slightly different, because Carey and Marcus were childhood penpals, so they knew each other a little, but they lost touch and then reconnected in adulthood. They started dating in February of 2011, got engaged in August of that same year, and were married in April of the next.
4. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon

Time before proposal: one month
Time before wedding: one month
Current status: married since April 2008, but currently separated
Mariah and Nick had been dating for a little over a month before they eloped and were married at Mariah's estate with no announcement. And that's why we don't save it for marriage, folks!
5. Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom

Time before proposal: one month
Time before wedding: one month
Current status: married since September 2009, but with divorce filed in 2013
Khloe and Lamar got married — not engaged, married — a month after meeting in 2009. And actually stayed together for a surprisingly long time after that!
6. Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting

Time before proposal: three months
Time before wedding: six months
Current status: married since 2013
Kaley and Ryan went on a blind date in June 2013 and it never really ended. He proposed three months later, in September, and the two were married three months after that, on New Years Eve 2013. What's your hurry??
7. Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson
Time before proposal: five months
Time before wedding: three years, eight months
Current status: married since July 2014
I didn't realize this, because it took them so long to get married, but Jessica and Eric actually got engaged pretty quickly!
8. Nicolas Cage and Alice Kim

Time before proposal: two months
Time before wedding: six months
Current status: married since August 2004
They met in February 2004 at the restaurant where she worked, starting dating, and were engaged two months later, in April, and married in August. Why waste the momentum, y'know? But it seems like the right thing for them, because they've been married ever since — over a decade!
9. Katy Perry and Russell Brand
(Photo: FayesVision / WENN.com)
Time before proposal: three months
Time before wedding: thirteen months
Current status: divorced since 2012
They met and started dating in September 2009 and were engaged just three months later, in December. A little less than a year after that, they were married — in October 2010, which gives them one of the longer courtships on this list, weirdly enough.
10. Britney Spears and Kevin Federline

Time before proposal: three months
Time before wedding: five months
Current status: divorced since 2007
We get so distracted by Britney's seventy-two hour marriage to that Jason Alexander guy that it's easy to forget that her relationship with K-Fed was kind of a whirlwind of its own! They started dating in April 2004, were engaged by July, and married in September. And it worked out so great!!!
11. Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee
(Photo: WENN.com)
Time before proposal: four days
Time before wedding: four days
Current status: divorced since 1998
Pamela and Tommy Lee had known each other ninety-six hours when they got married in February of 1995…so it's honestly surprising that their marriage lasted as long as it did. And even beyond that, their relationship was off-and-on for years, with the two reuniting and splitting again in 2001 and 2008.
12. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony

Time before proposal: ??
Time before wedding: five months
Current status: separated since 2011, divorced since 2014
These two started dating in January 2004 and then got married out of nowhere four days after Marc's divorce was finalized, in June of the same year. It was so secretive, in fact, that none of the guests in attendance even knew it was going to happen!
13. Giovanni Ribisi and Agyness Deyn
(Photo: JP / JFXImages / WENN.com)
Time before proposal: ???
Time before wedding: three months?
Current status: married since June 2012
It's hard to know with this couple, because they never even confirmed they were dating before getting married, but Agyness had gone on the record as saying she was single in March 2012, and her wedding to Giovanni was three months after that, so somewhere in there??
14. Zoe Saldana and Marco Perego
(Image: CandidWire / Pacific Coast News)
Time before proposal: who knows?
Time before wedding: three months
Current status: married since June 2013, new parents to twin boys!
Zoe and Marco started secretly dating in March 2013 and got secretly married three months after that. Am I sensing a theme here?
15. Danny Bonaduce and Gretchen Hillmer
(Photo: Nikki Nelson / WENN.com)
Time before proposal: one day
Time before wedding: one day
Current status: divorced since April 2007
He may not be relevant, but I had to include him on the list because the story is so crazy. Danny and Gretchen went on a blind date on November 4th, 1990, and elected to get married the same day. You'd probably think they got it annulled within twenty four hours, but instead, they stayed married for sixteen years and had two kids together before ultimately divorcing.
So what do you think? Crazy, right? Did I miss anyone??
